Students Opposed to Drugs & Alcohol
S.O.D.A.'s mission is to keep students healthy and involved by providing a safe, fun, substance-free environment.
S.O.D.A. you want to know more?
The South Winneshiek chapter of S.O.D.A. was founded in the fall of 2010. During the first year, we had 85 members. Since then, we have strengthened our policies and added more members each year, with 105 in year two and 142 in year three. Since then, we have averaged about 60% of our high school population as SODA members. Our funding comes from generous donations and student-led fundraisers. We are led by a student Leadership Team, we meet once per month, and we sponsor a variety of free and reduced-price activities for SODA members throughout the year. We are now offering a S.O.D.A. scholarship to an eligible senior, and we have partnered with local businesses.

Welcome back, South Winn SODA! As we start the 2015-16 school year, we look forward to a lot of new activities and opportunities, plus a lot of our old favorites. If you did not get a chance to sign the pledge last spring, you may do so at our first regular SODA meeting during Advisory on THURSDAY, AUGUST 27th. Whether you're sure you want to join SODA or not, we invite you to join us for this short meeting so you can see what we have in store for this year. Have a great last few weeks of summer!
